The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission on Thursday joined Rep. Tom Mehaffie, local and county officials to celebrate the opening of a newly rehabilitated public boat launch and parking area along the Swatara Creek in Dauphin County. Located at Fulling Mill Road in Lower Swatara Township, the boat launch provides a safe and convenient access point for unpowered boats, such as kayaks and canoes. A new gravel parking lot provides a designated parking area for approximately 20 vehicles, a press release said.
