Near the end of May, the Regent Road Precinct Association in Sea Point will be hosting a free street festival experience. The Regent Road Social will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate South Africa's diverse cultures and unique heritage.

Near the end of May, the Regent Road Precinct Association in Sea Point will be hosting a free street festival experience. The Regent Road Social will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate South Africa’s diverse cultures and unique heritage.

Make your way from one end of Regent Road to the other, passing by a consortium of galleries, hotels and stores while live music and street performers amplify the energy and restaurants and bars spill onto the sidewalks.The City of Cape Town, Heineken and Diageo have collaborated with the Regent Road Precinct Association to create an unforgettable open-air celebration of local arts, culture and food.

Regent Road will be closed from Church Road to Solomons Road on Sunday, 18 May, from 12pm to 10pm to accommodate the Regent Road Precinct Social, which will be bursting at the seams with live music by top local acts on two stages and DJ Boxes.There will be a variety of engaging activities for young and old, as well as a variety of performance acts at various points along either end of the 750-metre shopping precinct.
