Richard Tice told i he was “absolutely not going to agree any pact” to help ease Mr Sunak’s potential election woes
Reform UK leader Richard Tice has said that he “wouldn’t even answer a call” from Rishi Sunak should the Prime Minister offer his party a deal to co-operate in the forthcoming General Election.
Reform UK Richard Tice has told Rishi Sunak to “not bother even making a phone call” to discuss general election deals Mr Farage founded what is now Reform UK – then named the Brexit Party – in 2018. He stood, and lost, in five general elections and two by-elections for theMr Tice said: “We’ve made the decision harder for him because we’re making more progress. If we were polling at 5, 6, 7 or 8 per cent, then it’s not a difficult decision for him, but given we’re way higher in the polls and are proving it at the ballot box, then his choice has become a bit tougher.
A party spokesman said that Mr Farage, the former Ukip leader, would “make a massive difference to our name recognition, and he’d also bring money”. Last week a ruling from media regulator Ofcom cleared Mr Farage to continue his show on GB News in the run up to the general election, but only if he did not stand as a candidate.
