Record-challenging warm temperatures the next few days

Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says we’ll in the low 80s through Friday.

“Near record highs at the very least and certainly well above average. Now, the big story overnight will be the potential for some fog that’ll last into the early morning hours sometimes.”, Buresh said.

We’ll be mainly dry through the weekend. Today’s record of 83 degrees was set in 2013 and we’ll get close. Thursday’s forecast high is 81, just shy of the 1978 record of 83 degrees.Friday is also sunny and very warm with temperatures forecast to reach 82 degrees. The record of 84 was set in 2013. A wind shift to out of the northeast this weekend will take a slight edge off the temperatures but it will still be above average. Saturday and Sunday look dry, sunny and mild with highs in the mid-70s."What a bright time, it's the right time
