Man United manager Erik ten Hag was furious about the decision not to use a side-on angle to judge whether Alejandro Garnacho was offside vs Arsenal
VAR looked at several different angles before choosing the eventual image which showed Alejandro Garnacho was in an offside position for Manchester United's ruled out goal against Arsenal.
The Gunners would go on to score twice in stoppage time to break United hearts. Post-match, Ten Hag slammed the angles used by the officials to adjudge the decision. Mike Dean also agreed with the decision on Super Sunday, he added: "It's obviously very, very tight. At first glance I thought it was offside. There's one or two angles where he looks on and then off. When they put the lines up you can't fault the technology - they put the lines in the correct place, they wouldn't have put them in the wrong place.
The Reds also felt aggrieved Arsenal were not down to ten men in the first half after a strong challenge from Bukayo Saka on Bruno Fernandes. But, once more, Gallagher believed the referees came to the right decision.
