Prince Harry is set to return to the UK solo next week as it's been confirmed that Meghan Markle won't be accompanying her husband for his visit.
Harry has been embroiled in a legal dispute with the Home Office regarding the withdrawal of his UK police protection, arguing in court that his family cannot "feel at home" in Britain without adequate safety measures. In recent developments, Harry initiated legal proceedings against the February 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures , which determined that he should have a reduced level of taxpayer-funded security while in the UK. This decision was based on the change in Harry's "status" after he stepped back from being an active member of the Royal Family, as informed to the court.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has confirmed she will not return to the UK next week after much anticipation. This was affirmed by Royal correspondent Chris Ship on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday.
