Just months after his brother Harb survived a Richmond shooting, Meninder Dhaliwal was wounded by gunfire outside a longshore workers training centre on Mitchell Island March 23.

Richmond RCMP was called to the B.C. Maritime Employers Association about 9 a.m. Tuesday morning after reports that a man had been shot.“A witness reported seeing a man, dressed in black fleeing the area on foot,” RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said in a news release. She said that a short time later, Richmond RCMP received a report of a vehicle on fire in the 5600-block of No. 7 Road.

Police did not release the name of the wounded man, but I confirmed it was Dhaliwal with several sources.
