REAL SCOOP: Crown witnesses were prepared to kill Johnston
AB – the former associate of Jamie Bacon now testifying against him – was back under cross-examination Monday by Bacon defence lawyer Kimberly Eldred. Bacon seemed very involved in his defence, writing notes during the testimony and chatting with his legal team at the breaks.
Bacon is charged with one count of counselling someone to commit murder for allegedly ordering the botched hit on Karbovanec. “And in fact, you didn’t even have a plan about Mr. Johnston. He was going to be a last-minute decision?” Eldred suggested. AB agreed they “were going to go with the flow” on whether they would also kill Johnston.
