, Chicago’s legacy alternative media outlet, is hiring a digital editor responsible for managing www.ChicagoReader.com web publishing and production. This person will report to the Managing Editor, and work closely with section editors and reporters, from early story-development stages as a presentation-and-components thought partner, through publishing and archive service.
Lead the management of the website: Ensure web content is accurately edited and posted; ensure the archives are up to date; perform key design-development duties to improve the UX/UI of the site and all the content. Work closely with Director of Technology and other team leads to revamp digital strategy and make upgradesCreate first suggested social post for article promosOrganize, optimize and create monthly roundups, archive dives, and seasonal content for search engine optimization Coordinate with marketing and growth teams on goals and KPIs for website growthCreate monthly reports: quantity of stories, category, and stats associated.
