Pro golfer Phil Mickelson returned from a two-week social media hiatus on Sunday to share that he has taken 10 days to do what he calls “a hard reset” before teeing off for the British Open on Thursday.
Mickelson confessed that he was in the rough at the beginning of his fast. “The first day, day and a half, was tough,” he told USA Today. “But by the fifth, sixth day, I wasn’t craving for food. “The research is not there yet to say this is beneficial long-term,” said Neglia. “We are not lab rats. We are not sitting in a lab eating the same food every day. We have a daily routine, and there is just so much that goes into our metabolism. So all of these studies are really hard to just generalize.”
