A small business owner has fired back after she was asked to cater a TV star’s 40th birthday for free.

The theme of the event was to be ‘pink, sparkles and a touch of flamingos’, with two birthday cakes, one for Catherine’s husband Tom, as well as the 100 cupcakes mentioned.‘I’m so sorry to hear that your client has fallen on such hard times they can’t afford to pay small businesses their products,’ she replied.

Catherine, who is best known for playing Eva Price in Coronation Street, was named as the celebrity byMetro.co.uk has reached out to Catherine’s reps and the event organisers for comment.In a story posted on her Instagram on Wednesday morning, theCatherine said that the event organisers ‘are an amazing company and they’ve been completely misrepresented in this’, branding the matter ‘utterly bizarre’.
