The BC Prosecution Service says an RCMP officer has been charged with driving without due care and attention.The crash occurred on Mar. 30, 2018, in Chilliwack, B.C.Const. Yannick Leblanc is scheduled to appear in Chilliwack provincial court on April 23.
British Columbia’s civilian police watchdog, the Independent Investigations Office, says the woman who was hit suffered “serious injuries.”It says the charge was approved by Crown counsel in a different part of the province who has no connection to the officer.
