Around noon CST, RCMP said there were several armed suspects at large in the area and that they may have been in a mid-2000s dark red Mustang.Police are actively trying to locate the men, who have connections to Witchekan Lake First Nation. Witchekan has brown hair and eyes, is five-foot-nine and 140 pounds. Starblanket has black hair and brown eyes, is five-foot-nine and 160 pounds.
Police have also determined that the Mustang, which has been found, was not involved in the shooting incident. RCMP say they don't believe at this time that the incident at Witchekan Lake First Nation is connected to a string of fatal stabbings in James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon, Sask..
