Colchester County RCMP charged Andrew Maloney of Lower Onslow with firearms offences, contrary to his lifetime firearm prohibition. FileLOWER ONSLOW, N.S. — Colchester County RCMP have charged a Lower Onslow man with firearms offences after executing a search warrant at his home.
Police said they recieved a report on March 16 of a man who was in possession of firearms at his Lower Onslow home. The man did not have a firearms license and was ordered to follow a lifetime firearms prohibition after a robbery in 2006. The next day, police executed a search warrant on the home, assisted by the Nova Scotia RCMP Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services.
RCMP safely arrested Andrew Maloney, 37, and seized two rifles, a revolver, a crossbow and ammunition. Maloney has been charged with 14 infractions, including possession of a prohibited firearms with ammunition, tampering with a serial number, possession contrary to a prohibition order and unsafe storage.Colchester County District RCMP has charged a man with firearms offences after a search warrant was executed in
