A baby black springbok has been born at The Kingswood Golf Estate in George, Western Cape, leaving people puzzled about the father's identity. The unique animal is a rare sight, with its unusual color attributed to an extremely rare genetic variation.

"This lady has some explaining to do" one person commented on a photo that The Kingswood Golf Estate posted of a baby springbok that had just been born. See, the newborn doesn't look anything like its mom, who is your classic brown and white-striped bokkie. Instead, the newborn is completely black, leaving folks to wonder who the heck the dad is. The Kingswood Golf Estate in George, Western Cape, shared a Facebook post about its first-ever black springbok born on the estate.

"All black wat 'n BOK wil wees" someone said, while another commented "Rather a little New Zealander!!!". Overall though, a number of folks were freely naming the cute animal, with 'Siya' being a top suggestion. The Garden Route course is no stranger to springboks, according to The South African, and guests are often treated to South Africa's national animal roaming the grounds - but this one is clearly a little different.
