After a season-long homestand of highs and lows has finished, we’re about to determine the fate and look of the team perhaps for seasons to come.
Starting with a Martin Luther King Dayon Monday, the Raptors play 10 of their next 12 games on the road and simply treading water is not good enough.
They begin the week out of even the play-in portion of the post-season and five games behind the Knicks, who hold the sixth spot in the East that represents the final guaranteed playoff slot. The players have to know it, the coaching staff has to know it and the pressure to play better has never been greater.
“The ball is moving a lot better. I think we just got to get a little better on defence and the rest of it should take care of itself. We are shooting the ball a lot better than before and that is something we needed to get better at.”
