In last year’s playoffs Siakam had three dominant games against the Sixers, shot at least 50% from the field in four of the six outings and averaged 22.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and even hit 86% of his six free throw attempts a game.
On Friday Siakam had a better game overall than Wednesday’s . He hit 9-15 shots, got to the free throw line nine times and had 10 rebounds. The only issue this time was five turnovers against only six assists.Article content So maybe Rivers was right when mentioning pre-game that Siakam had “hurt us just as much with the pass” in the previous game. Or, maybe Siakam would have been closer to 10 assists had Fred VanVleet had not turned in one of his worst shooting games ever.
Fred VanVleet had hit 48% of his three-pointers this season before starting tonight 0-8 as part of an 0-11 start to this game.
