Fans at Globe Life Field for Game 3 against the Orioles said the Rangers’ success this year has drawn attention even from Texans typically focused on football in the fall.
“There were seven total Rangers fans and about 48,000 total Orioles fans,” Peters said. “The 48,000 Orioles fans were very excited. It was a lot of cool energy.”Peters, a Rangers fan since 1992 who grew up down the street from the ballpark, said he didn’t want to missat the new Globe Life Field on Tuesday, and fans were out in full force.
“When they lost that bad to San Francisco I was like, ‘It doesn’t matter. We’re going to the Rangers game,’” Tyler said.As fans flooded the Globe Life Field concourse more than two hours before Rangers right hander Nathan Eovaldi threw the first pitch, the scene was one of pride and excitement for fans who said they’ve waited their whole lives for this moment.Some remembered the team’s runs to the ALDS in 2015 and 2016. Others cited the 2010 and 2011 World Series trips.

But he said he’s hopeful October baseball will become a regular part of North Texas sports fans’ lives.
