Rangers lift Sky Sports Cup again with win over Partick Thistle.
Jo Potter's side ran out 4-1 winners at a sunkissed Tynecastle this afternoon, as they remain the champions of the competition.And thanks to goals from Mia McAulay, Rachel Rowe, Rio Hardy and Olivia McLoughlin, the Ibrox side got their hands on the trophy for the second successive year, as they look to end the season strongly, with a potential treble on the cards.McAulay had Rangers in the lead early doors before a quickfire equaliser by Rachel Donaldson for Thistle.
Thistle sits bottom of the top six split in the SWPL as things stand, but will take great confidence from their run in the cup, putting up a fight against one of the country's top teams. The former Rangers striker believes that both Jack Butland and James Tavernier must be in the running for the award.The ex-Scotland international is also of the belief that Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley should be in consideration given his strong form in the first half of the season.
