ARLINGTON — If you feel like the sky is falling, just pause, breathe and take a message from Rangers manager Bruce Bochy. “You’re going to go through these...

The Rangers, after a 7-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday at Globe Life Field, have lost five of their last six games for the first time all season. They are — gasp —for the best start in franchise history through 66 games. They’re one loss, either on Wednesday or Thursday, away from losing a series against an American League West opponent for the first time all year.“We’re spoiled,” he said with a grin.

. The Rangers’ bullpen — which had regained its form a bit in recent weeks — was depleted after a 12-inning loss to Los Angeles on Monday; Grant Anderson, Josh Sborz and Will Smith were each unavailable on Tuesday. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said pregame that Bradford would be capped at around 75 pitches. He threw 64 and left with one out in the top of the fifth inning.

In regards to things cooling down, the Rangers have been the league’s best-hitting team with runners in scoring position this season, but they went just 4 for 21 in those situations on Monday and 1 for 8 on Tuesday. None were more costly than in the first inning when the Rangers left three on base. Corey Seager and Nathaniel Lowe hit back-to-back singles and Josh Jung was hit by a pitch to juice the bases for Jonah Heim, who hit into an inning-ending flyout.
