Rangers have been drawn against Arsenal in a tough Women's Champions League draw.

The draw presents a significant challenge to Rangers - who were unseeded - as they go up against Arsenal, who won the competition in 2006/07 and have only failed to make the quarter-finals once in the last 16 entries.

In this afternoon's draw, Rangers also discovered the other two clubs in their mini-tournament cracked with Atletico Madrid and Rosenborg going head to head in the other semi-final. To progress into the next round, Rangers would have to win their group, which would mean beating Arsenal before triumphing over the winners of the other match. The UWCL mini-tournaments will be played at one venue with supporters urged against making travel plans until this is finalised by UEFA.

A club statement confirmed:"We have been drawn against @ArsenalWFC in Round 1 of the UEFA Women's Champions League.Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
