The Parkhead boss will serve his one match ban against Livingston - and be free to step into the dugout for the clash with Rangers.
The international break is almost at an end - and after Brendan Rodgers was issued a ban by the SFA there is only one topic dominating the phone lines.
Scott Gowers, Edinburgh: "The SFA's cop out regarding Brendan Rodgers suggests that there are major isms within Scottish football. No other governing body in world sport would have backed down to anyone blatantly breaking the rules such as this. I think that others should be allowed to appeal this injustice, the decision doesn't only make the SFA look soft it also points to the fact they don't care about their laws when it comes to Celtic.
Philip Borland said: "What a joke the SFA are just giving Brendan Rodgers a one game ban the SFA are scared to do anything against Celtic. If that was Rangers manager who let rip about referees it would have definitely been a two game ban maybe a three game ban. This has nothing to do with the lawyer Celtic brought to the hearing; this is because the SFA don't Want to be too hard on Celtic. Everyone from SFA who was at the hearing should resign.
Andrew Adams, Kirkcaldy emailed: "Why is anyone surprised at the decision to ban Rodgers for only one game? Everyone else whose been up before the beaks gets two games for the exact same thing, the SFA are the weakest organisation I've ever had the displeasure to set eyes on, just a bunch of guys that obviously lack courage, but they'll be in Germany with the best seats best hotels and great hospitality, it's scandalous.
