García became the first Rangers player to hit three home runs in a game since Ronald Guzman did so on Aug. 10, 2018.
His fourth at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was a two-run double to pull the Rangers ahead 15-2. García’s three home runs and eight RBIs are the most by a Ranger since Nelson Cruz .He hit a combined 1,252 feet of home runs and overtook Houston’s Yordan Alvarez for the most RBIs in MLB with 28.
It was the fifth multi-home run game of García’s career, and he became the first Ranger to hit three home runs in a single game since Ronald Guzman did so against the New York Yankees on Aug. 10, 2018.
