JOHANNESBURG - Rand Water is warning Johannesburg residents that airlocks in pipelines could further delay the restoration of water.Some residents in the city have not had water for up to a week.
Rand Water says some reservoirs have run empty and it will take several days for water to be fully restored.An airlock is air in a pipeline that prevents the flow of water. The utility says the system may have to be decommissioned to release any airlocks that occurred during the maintenance process.
