Ramoreboli made a return to coach Bafana at the 2023 COSAFA Cup held in Durban after he won the 2021 edition while standing in for assistant coach Helman Mkhalele.There has been question marks on the purpose of having a relatively weaker South African team without Broos but the Jwaneng Galaxy head coach says he is constantly in touch with the Belgian tactician and will be giving him a report after the tournament.

"Like I did with the previous one, I have given him a report, that's why most of the boys from that group who won COSAFA , went and became part of Bafana," he said.Some of the players that were part of the 2021 COSAFA Cup winning squad and went on to be given a chance at the proper Bafana team coached by Broos included Bongokuhle Hlongwane , Yusuf Maart , Njabulo Ngcobo and Monnapule Saleng .
