UPDATE: The BunnieFire has now burned at least 103 acres and evacuation orders have been issued for certain areas of Ramona
SAN DIEGO – A brush fire that erupted in the Ramona area Wednesday and grew to just over 100 acres burned, prompting an evacuation order.
Just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Cal Fire San Diego officials said the blaze dubbed the Bunnie Fire was reported in the area of Chuck Wagon Road and was threatening structures.An evacuation order is in place in certain areas near the fire. A temporary evacuation point is being set up at Olive Peirce Middle School at 1521 Hanson Lane."The safest route is going north on San Vicente Road or south on Barona Road," the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said.
