Ramokgopa to be 'ultra-aggressive' on renewables
Unlike his predecessor Gwede Mantashe , Energy and Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said he will take an"ultra-aggressive" approach to roll out renewable energy at an unprecedented scale compared to previous procurement rounds.
The minister on Monday updated the media on electricity distribution and overall generation performance.of South Africa's energy mix, Ramokgopa said he would be working with relevant stakeholders to address challenges in previous bid windows that hampered new renewable energy capacity from coming onstream.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
