He said the stage 6 load shedding last week was primarily due to the cold snap, which led to a sudden spike in the electricity demand.Ramakgopa said switching to higher stages like stage 6 should not be the norm."We will continue to ensure that there is some degree of improvement, and I'm confident in the ability of the head of generation and the team. They are alive to the situation and are the first ones to tell you collectively we are going to plan better going forward.
“Then, we are expecting that between the 15th and 18th of July, we are going to have 12 units coming back, and that’s giving us 5400 watts. It's a very important measure."
