South Africans cast their votes on May 29, in a bid to have a new government that will address their dire problems. Many accused the ANC of failing to deliver on what they promised in 1994, including job creation, inclusive economic growth, tackling the high cost of living, service delivery, crime, and corruption.

Some parts of South Africa are still without water and electricity and roads are still not in good condition.GNU is made up of 10 political parties including the ANC. “The GNU is not starting from scratch. It is continuing with the work that was done by the sixth administration. They have also acknowledged the ANC’s work in the past and have also confirmed that the ANC was working,” he said.Ramaphosa referred to electricity as one of the “developments” that the GNU is doing.He further stressed that the ANC should use the GNU to improve and strengthen its position in the society.
