South Africa's president wishes Matric students who started writing the 2024 Exams good luck in a special video message.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a good luck message to all matric writing today, the beginning of the 2024 Matric Exams.The class of 2024 entered high school at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’d like to wish all the matriculants in our country who started their examinations on Monday a great deal of luck,” said the president. The matric exams are essential for the government. It often uses the year’s pass mark as an indicator of progress in South Africa and that its plans are succeeding, especially around education – a sector often and correctly criticised.. Every year the government works to exceed the year previous, though it does not balance for dropping the pass mark to 30 percent.
