President Ramaphosa and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu met to discuss increasing economic ties, including more Nigerian products in South African stores and greater investment. The meeting marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
Ramaphosa expressed his desire for more Nigeria n products to be sold in South Africa n stores and for increased investment between the two nations. He stated that both countries share a common purpose and vision. During the South Africa - Nigeria Bi-National Commission, held in Parliament, both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties . The meeting marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations established in February 1994.
Tinubu noted that Nigeria is proud to have supported South Africa during apartheid. However, he warned that memorandums of understanding (MOUs) will be meaningless without proper implementation
