President Ramaphosa and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu met to discuss increasing economic ties, including more Nigerian products in South African stores and greater investment. The meeting marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The meeting marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations established in February 1994.

Tinubu noted that Nigeria is proud to have supported South Africa during apartheid. However, he warned that memorandums of understanding (MOUs) will be meaningless without proper implementation
