DJ Black Coffee, 47, made history as the first South African to headline at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has hailed world-renowned artist and producer Nkosinathi Maphumulo popularly known as Black Coffee for a successful show at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Maphumulo was the first South African to headline at the Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple on Saturday, 7 October.The DJ has gone from strength to strength in his pursuit of international recognition having rubbed shoulders with the likes of David Guetta, P. Diddy, Drake and others. Last weekend, he continued to fly the South African flag high when he took to the stage at the 20 000-seat capacity venue in New York City.
