South Africa is “facing huge challenges,” but ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa is still the country’s best bet at turning things around.
This was the sentiment expressed by Senzo Mchunu, who is touted by the pro-Ramaphosa faction to be elected ANC deputy president at the national elective conference in December. Speaking to News24 on Monday, just days after the ANC president came under fire from his predecessors, a candid Mchunu came to Ramaphosa's defence, saying: “I am conscious of the challenges the country is facing, [but] there is nothing like a presidency that is perfect in the whole world.
