The president said several ministries had to be split or merged to facilitate all parties in South Africa’s Government of National Unity . The DA’s Samantha Graham will serve as deputy minister in the Department of Electricity and Energy. Graham has served as shadow minister to Ramokgopa since April 2023.

Ramaphosa has appointed the DA’s Solly Malatsi as communications minister in the new National Executive.
