Employees earn less than living wage, says union
Workers at Ramada Plaza Prince George hotel will be in a strike position, effective 11 a.m. on Thursday morning.
"Most of the 40 housekeepers, front desk agents, banquet staff and Starbucks baristas earn significantly less than the $21.19 living wage needed to support a family in Prince George. Workers want the employer to close the pay gap so that they can keep up with the rising cost of living in the area," the union said in a statement.
