The new cabin is also incredibly luxurious. Dominated by a portrait-oriented infotainment touchscreen that can range up to 28 inches, the lower part of the display has three different positions depending on the task at hand – minimal view, extended view, and full-screen view – and can be removed and used in different areas of the truck. The upper screen can also slide on what Ram calls a “rail attachment system.
Sustainability is also a key focus for the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept. Stellantis says examples include a “Greyslate Nanostone” veneer that is resilient and lightweight; “apple” leather, a bi-product from the apple industry that is naturally cruelty-free; and a uniquely textured floor composed of recycled rubber and cork particles.Article content
As for the exterior design, Ram’s somewhat overwrought description includes “heroic strength” and “ultra-modern.” Hyperbole aside, the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is the most comely of electrified pickups yet. The way the rear bed integrates into the cabin and the subtle yet effective fender flares really add a soupcon of that modernity the press release talked about to what is, in the end, a fairly traditional silhouette.
There’s no word on pricing and, as I mentioned at the top, power or range specifics. However, according to Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr., the production version of this ‘concept’ will be unveiled in but a few months, so watch this space.
