A furious resident has left a neighbourhood split after slapping angry notes on parked vehicles

The Bristol local has been penning letters and sticking them on cars with instructions on them, telling people to stop parking on their road as they don't live on the street. The long-standing and simmering parking war has blown up again after photos emerged of cars with messages sellotaped to their windscreens.

The move was called "sinister" by one neighbour, who said they didn't agree with the forceful approach. It is of course legally permitted to leave your vehicle on any street providing you are not in breach of parking restrictions. The sign read: “Dear vehicle owner/driver, The residents of British Road have noticed that you park on this street regularly, yet do not live on this street. Please be mindful of the residents who wish to park near their own properties.

One resident of British Road, who wished to remain anonymous, said she was concerned by the appearance of the signs. Parking is an absolute nightmare around here, and people spend a lot of time driving around looking for a space, so I understand people get frustrated, but this is a bit sinister.
