R15 million+ bill: SA clubs in FIFA ‘naughty corner’
Tim Sukazi 's TS Galaxy has become the latest club added to the 'naughty corner' by FIFA with bills for SA clubs now up to R15 million.Another month and yet another case relating to South African clubs being thrown into the FIFA disciplinary pot has left further questions hanging.
In the parting of ways, there was no agreement from both parties over the issue of the contract, which led to the Ivorian’s representatives taking the case to FIFA. In January this year, TS Galaxy had a dispute case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport relating to Bosnia-Herzegovina defender Igor Makitan. Royal AM have been ordered to pay Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento an amount of R600 000 and are now seeking to settle the matter.
Their three-window ban came into effect on April 17 and relates to Cameroonian striker Auguste Junior Boum Somlaga, who lasted six months before moving to Indian club Kenkre FC.
