Gilberto, who was the subjected of rumoured interest from Mamelodi Sundowns last season, is reported to be heading to Mzansi, with Pirates believed to be hot favourites to land the services of the 23-year-old.The Angolan star is believed to be already in South Africa to negotiate his new contract with one of the Soweto giants and could sign on the dotted line before the end of this week.
Gilberto has made 13 appearances for the 2023/24 CAF Champions League quarter-finalists since receiving his first cap for the colours of the national team, for whom he caught the eye at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast early this year.
