Quinte West resident Robert John Findlay was awarded the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers at Quinte West City Council on Wednesday. The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers recognizes individuals for exceptional volunteer achievements from across Canada. Findlay was recognized for over 40 years of volunteerism with multiple organizations including the Canadian Naval Air Group.

Quinte West Mayor Jim Harrison also recounted working with Findlay on multiple committees in the City of Quinte West.
