Quinte West Council hears from local community housing provider
Quinte West Council has received new info on local housing initiatives.
During Monday’s council meeting, a delegation from Community Living Quinte West spoke to council about their work on providing housing to those in need. Lisa Rashotte, manager of innovation and collaboration from Community Living Quinte West, presented a slideshow to council showcasing the work the organization is doing.One program is Housing Opportunities Made Equal, a six suite shelter designed to help residents with independent living skills.
They also recently launched Transitional Housing Experience, to combat youth homelessness by helping homeless youth find assistance as they move into adulthood.
