Baroness Floella Benjamin has recalled a touching conversation she had with the late Queen, which inspired one of her final wishes a decade later.
The wish came to light during a poignant and touching conversation with Baroness Floella Benjamin.
The Queen chatted with Baroness Benjamin back in 2012 at her Diamond Jubilee whilst on a visit to Exeter University and The Baroness revealed she was told how the 96-year-old recalled their conversation shortly before her death. Baroness Benjamin continued: "She said to him, ‘I wanted that little 10-year-old girl to realise that anything is possible. And I want to give hope to all 10-year-old girls to realise no matter where they come from, anything is possible’. And that was one of her final wishes two days before she died. Isn’t that wonderful?"
