Credit card fraud alleged
The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged two individuals with fraud and identity theft.
On February 25, 2023, at approximately 11:00 a.m., officers responded to a business on Bell Boulevard for a report of two individuals attempting to make a large purchase on a credit card that appeared to be compromised. An investigation led to the men being arrested.Fraud Over $5000Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Four CountsFraud Over $5000Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
