Zanfi had a bail hearing in Halifax provincial court last week. Judge Christine Driscoll heard evidence and submissions Thursday and ordered him released Friday on a $14,000 bail order with one surety, his father.Zanfi must remain in his residence at all times unless he is attending employment, educational programs or job interviews, dealing with medical emergencies or appointments or legal commitments, or attending to personal needs for four hours every Saturday afternoon.

The judge also ordered Zanfi to check in with Halifax Regional Police by phone every Friday starting Dec. 23, have no contact with 20 individuals, and stay at least 10 metres away from 16 specific addresses in Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Hammonds Plains, Timberlea, Lake Loon and East Preston. There’s a publication ban on details of the bail hearing, including the reasons for the judge’s decision.
