Former Wallabies wing Drew Mitchell believes age should not count against the veteran playmaker if he can prove he is still good enough.
'He's had a year off now; he's got to prove himself to be capable, but I don't care if he's 18 or 38. If you're good enough, you're good enough. He's got to find a gig next year. I think for him to make it, it would have to be a Super Rugby gig, prove himself, and, as I said, I don't care how old he is.
' Former Wallabies playmaker Matt Giteau admitted he initially assumed Cooper's international career was over, but believes a strong relationship with new Wallabies coach Les Kiss could work in the flyhalf's favour. 'I agree with Drew, it's going to be tough to get a gig this late. I know he's with Kintetsu, but they've got Manie Libbok at 10, so I don't think he'll get enough minutes to prove himself.
