The Islanders will look to get back on the winning track Jan. 18 when the Moncton Wildcats visit Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown for a 7 p.m. start.Before losing to the Quebec Remparts and Halifax Mooseheads last week, the Wildcats had won five games in a row, including 4-1 and 6-2 over the Islanders.

Hulton said when teams are slumping, they are looking for anything that can change their fortune. For example, Hulton mentioned, a first-star-performance, a break and a bounce. “We just have to continue to look forward, make sure we are making the necessary improvements every day and good fortune will follow.”One encouraging sign for the Islanders was the debut of newly-acquired goaltender Jakob Robillard, who stopped 46 shots in a 4-1 home-ice loss to the Sherbrooke Phoenix on Jan. 15.

Hulton described the performance of the 20-year-old Robillard, who signed with the Islanders as a free agent last week, as fantastic.
