Quebec won Game 1 on March 31 by a 4-0 score, and then posted a 3-1 win in Game 2 to take a two-game lead on home ice. The series shifts to Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown for Games 3 and 4 on April 4 and 5 at 7 p.m.Before 11,603 fans at the Vidéotron Centre, the Islanders battled the regular-season-champion Remparts, coached by former NHL star goaltender Patrick Roy, to a scoreless draw through 40 minutes.
James Malatesta opened the scoring, and Zachary Bolduc’s goal gave Quebec a 2-0 lead. Daniel Agostino also scored for Quebec while Michael Horth netted the Islanders’ first goal of the series at 17:03. Team captain Keiran Gallant of Covehead and Lane Hinkley set up Horth’s goal.
