After the success of their inaugural Human Rights Day Race last year, Sunward Park-based Qhubeka Athletic Club has added a new 21.1km double lapper for this year’s event on March 21 at the School of Achievement in Germiston.

The club said its decision to add a new event followed a demand for a longer distance from the “running community after the resounding success” of its maiden race. Pre-entries are open and will close on February 29. Free t-shirts will be offered to the first 300 entrants. “We look forward to welcoming participants for a memorable Human Rights Day Race. We are dedicated to promoting excellence in road running events and fostering a community-driven ethos in every race.
