👀 Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has now reportedly come in at the last minute with a 'take it or leave it' offer to try to beat his rival out to the acquisition of Manchester United. SLInt MORE:
, Qatari billionaire Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has submitted a final, improved bid for the Red Devils as he looks to conclude a deal for the sole ownership of the Mancunians.
There have already been three rounds of bidding, but with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe seemingly in a stronger position to buy the record Premier League champions, Hamad Al Thani has now thrown a spanner in the works at the 11th hour.Ratcliffe is believed to hold the upper hand in the process because he has offered more money than the Qatari and, perhaps more importantly, he is not looking to buy a 100% stake in the club, but rather become a majority shareholder.
Current club chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer would still retain a partial stake in the club in the meantime, with the American family said to still want to stay on for a few more years before fully conceding their ownership of the team. Hamad Al Thani is believed to have made a big improvement on his initial offer, but it still falls short of his petrochemicals tycoon counterpart's whose overall bid is higher, despite the Qatari insisting that he will clear the club's debt of £536 million , invest heavily in the playing squad and avail funds to refurbish a seemingly dilapidated Old Trafford.
