BREAKING: Putin issues nuclear war threat to the West in live address and warns 'it is not a bluff'

Vladimir Putin has issued a chilling nuclear threat to the West as he warned "Russia will use all the means at its disposal to protect our people."

In what appears to be a major escalation, Putin said the West has engaged in nuclear blackmail against Russia and threatened possible nuclear strikes in response to 'attacks on his territory', the Mirror reports. The Russian President said he is unafraid to reply with "lots of weapons" to so-called Western threats.

The warmonger insisted that he is not lying during an address to the nation on Wednesday morning after his speech was pushed back on Tuesday night without explanation. He said: "The West has engaged in nuclear blackmail against us. If its territorial integrity is threatened Russia will use all the means at its disposal to protect our people. This is not a bluff."

The Kremlin warmonger also announced that he has signed a decree stating that Russian reservists will be conscripted into Russia's military from Wednesday, in what is Russia's first mobilisation since World War Two. "I shall stress that Russian citizens called up as part of mobilisation will be given all the benefits of those serving under contract", he said.

Foreign Office Minister Gillian Keegan has said the West should take Vladimir Putin’s threats "seriously". Putin went on to say his aim was to "liberate" east Ukraine's Donbas region and claimed that most people in the regions under Russian control did not want to be ruled by Kyiv.
